The release marked her first major individual music project while she remained a member of BLACKPINK.
She later released “You & Me” in 2023 before launching a new chapter of her solo career through ODD ATELIER.

YG’s official discography identifies it as her first single album.
The release contains the title track:
- “SOLO”
The song combines pop and hip-hop elements and focuses on independence following the end of a relationship.
YG described the project as showing a different musical side of Jennie compared with her work in BLACKPINK.
Jennie’s “SOLO”
“SOLO” became one of the defining songs of Jennie’s early solo career.
The song’s music video emphasized a more individual visual identity for Jennie while maintaining elements of the style associated with BLACKPINK.
The release also established Jennie as a solo recording artist before the other BLACKPINK members began their own individual solo album campaigns.
Jennie’s You & Me
Jennie released “You & Me” as a special single in October 2023.
YG’s official discography lists “You & Me” as a special single released on October 6, 2023.

Its release allowed Jennie to transition from the SOLO era into the next stage of her individual career.
Jennie’s ODD ATELIER
Jennie established ODD ATELIER, commonly abbreviated as OA, for her individual activities.
The company was established as Jennie developed greater independence in managing her solo career outside BLACKPINK.
Her ODD ATELIER activities include:
- Solo music
- Music releases
- Creative projects
- Fashion activities
- Brand collaborations
- Entertainment appearances
- Global partnerships
Jennie continues to participate in BLACKPINK group activities while pursuing her individual career separately.
Jennie’s Solo Music After Leaving YG for Individual Activities
Jennie remained a member of BLACKPINK while establishing greater independence over her individual activities.
This distinction is important for KWaveHub:
BLACKPINK group activities:
Jennie continues group activities through BLACKPINK’s established group arrangements.
Jennie’s individual activities:
Her solo work is managed through her own career structure, including ODD ATELIER and partnerships with external music companies.
This allows her Artist Profile and your BLACKPINK group profile to cover different search intent.

It presented a more direct pop sound and introduced the creative direction that continued into Ruby.
Jennie’s “Love Hangover”
“Love Hangover” features Dominic Fike.
The song explores romantic uncertainty and became one of the pre-release singles associated with Ruby.
The collaboration introduced Jennie’s solo music to another international audience.
Jennie’s “ExtraL”
“ExtraL” features American rapper Doechii.
The song is included on Ruby and combines Jennie’s pop and rap performance with Doechii’s rap style.
The collaboration is one of the album’s international features.

“like JENNIE” is one of the central songs from Ruby.
The song emphasizes Jennie’s individual identity and plays on her stage name as part of the song’s concept.
It became one of the key tracks associated with the album’s promotion.
Jennie’s “ZEN”
“ZEN” is another major track from Ruby.
The song was released ahead of the album and accompanied by a highly stylized music video.
Its visual presentation emphasizes Jennie’s individual artistic identity and fashion-focused image.
Jennie’s Collaborations
Jennie’s solo career has included collaborations with both K-pop and international artists.
Her notable collaborations include:

- Childish Gambino — “Damn Right”
- Doechii — “ExtraL”

Her collaborations became an important part of the international direction of Ruby.
Jennie’s Songwriting & Creative Credits
Jennie has participated in the creative development of her music.
Her credits have included songwriting and other creative contributions on solo material.
For KWaveHub, the safest approach is to list individual songwriting, composition and production credits only when confirmed through official album credits rather than assuming that performing or co-writing a song means production involvement.
Her Ruby era also involved substantial visual and creative direction surrounding the album’s concept, music videos and promotional materials.
Jennie’s Music Style
Jennie’s music combines several styles, including:
- Pop
- Hip-hop
- R&B
- Dance-pop
- Rap
- Contemporary pop
Her BLACKPINK work frequently combines rap and pop vocals, while her solo releases allow her to explore a wider range of musical styles.
Ruby particularly expanded her solo sound through collaborations with artists from different musical backgrounds.
Jennie’s Acting Career
Jennie made her scripted television acting debut in HBO’s The Idol.
She appeared under the name Jennie Ruby Jane and played the character Dyanne.
The series premiered in 2023 and starred Lily-Rose Depp and Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye.
Her appearance in the series marked Jennie’s expansion into acting alongside her established music career.
Jennie Ruby Jane
Jennie has used the professional name Jennie Ruby Jane for acting and some international creative activities.
The name combines her stage identity with her middle name, Ruby, which later became the title of her first studio album.
This connection is particularly relevant when explaining the development of the Ruby album concept.
Jennie’s Fashion Career
Fashion has been a major part of Jennie’s career outside music.
She has appeared on international magazine covers, attended major fashion events and worked with luxury fashion brands.
Her fashion activities have included:
- Magazine editorials
- Fashion campaigns
- Fashion-week appearances
- Luxury-brand events
- Global ambassador activities
- Beauty campaigns
Jennie’s fashion work has developed alongside her music career and has contributed to her international public profile.
Jennie and Chanel
Jennie has had a long-standing relationship with Chanel and has appeared in Chanel fashion campaigns and events.
Her connection with the fashion house has included magazine shoots, runway appearances and international fashion events.
Because ambassador and contract arrangements can change, KWaveHub should keep the wording current when updating this section.
Jennie’s Global Activities
Jennie’s individual career has increasingly expanded beyond the Korean music market.
Her solo releases have included collaborations with American and European artists, while her fashion and entertainment activities have taken place internationally.
The Ruby project in particular positioned her solo music within the wider international pop market.
Jennie’s BLACKPINK World Tour Activities
Jennie has participated in BLACKPINK’s major world tours, including the Born Pink World Tour and Deadline World Tour.
YG announced BLACKPINK’s Deadline world tour as a 16-city, stadium-scale tour. The tour began in Goyang in July 2025.
Jennie’s participation in the group tour remains separate from her individual solo activities.
Jennie and BLACKPINK’s Deadline Era
BLACKPINK returned as a full group with Deadline on February 27, 2026.
The album followed the group’s extensive Deadline World Tour and marked their first full-group album in approximately four years.
YG’s official tracklist contains:
- “JUMP”
- “GO”
- “Me and my”
- “Champion”
- “Fxxxboy”
Jennie’s participation in Deadline should be covered on both her Artist Profile and the BLACKPINK group profile, but the group page should contain the detailed album information while her individual page focuses on her own role and activities.

- Golden Disc Awards
- Seoul Music Awards
- Circle Chart Music Awards
- MAMA Awards

YG’s official profile records BLACKPINK’s awards and achievements across multiple years.
