NMIXX Is Coming Back With Strange Muse — Here’s What We Know
NMIXX is getting ready for a new era. JYP Entertainment has confirmed that the girl group will return with their sixth EP, Strange Muse, this October.
The upcoming release arrives about five months after NMIXX’s previous EP, Heavy Serenade, and introduces a new milestone for the group: Strange Muse will feature NMIXX’s first dedicated unit songs since their debut.
NMIXX Announces Strange Muse
NMIXX will release their sixth EP, Strange Muse, on October 19, 2026, at 6 PM KST.
JYP Entertainment officially revealed the album details on September 21, including the complete six-song tracklist. The agency has also begun rolling out promotional content ahead of the comeback.
The comeback follows Heavy Serenade, which was released in May 2026.
When Will NMIXX’s Strange Muse Be Released?
The confirmed release date is:
October 19, 2026 — 6 PM KST
The title track, “Birthday Wish,” will be released alongside the EP and its music video.
NMIXX’s promotional schedule began in September with a motion poster and album-related teasers, followed by concept photos and additional content leading up to release day.
Strange Muse Tracklist
NMIXX’s sixth EP contains six tracks:
- Birthday Wish — Title Track
- Kerosene
- RudE TaLK
- Sing to the Moon — LILY & HAEWON
- Hot ‘n Unbothered — SULLYOON & BAE
- WHIP — JIWOO & KYUJIN
The album marks the first time NMIXX has included dedicated unit songs on one of its releases.
NMIXX’s First Unit Songs
One of the biggest talking points surrounding Strange Muse is the introduction of three unit tracks.
LILY & HAEWON will perform “Sing to the Moon.”
SULLYOON & BAE will team up for “Hot ‘n Unbothered.”
JIWOO & KYUJIN will perform “WHIP.”
The members also participated in the songwriting process. Each pair contributed lyrics to their respective unit track, while Kyujin also participated in composition for “WHIP.” Bae additionally contributed lyrics to “RudE TaLK.”
What Is NMIXX’s Birthday Wish?
“Birthday Wish” is the title track of Strange Muse and will lead the group’s new promotional era.
The song is set to be released with its official music video on October 19 alongside the EP.
More details about the song’s concept and performance will be revealed as NMIXX’s promotional rollout continues.
NMIXX’s Strange Muse Concept
The early Strange Muse rollout points toward a more atmospheric and mysterious concept.
JYP Entertainment began the campaign with a motion poster on September 23, followed by album trailers and concept photos. The promotional material introduces the new Strange Muse world ahead of the October release.
As more teasers arrive, fans will get a clearer look at the visual direction of the new era.
NMIXX Returns After Heavy Serenade
Strange Muse follows NMIXX’s fifth EP, Heavy Serenade, which was released in May 2026.
The short gap between the two releases makes Strange Muse a relatively quick return for the group, arriving approximately five months after their previous mini album.
The new EP also gives NMIXX another opportunity to showcase the individual strengths of its six members through the newly introduced unit tracks.
NMIXX’s World Tour Continues
The Strange Muse era also comes as NMIXX approaches the end of its first world tour, EPISODE 1: ZERO FRONTIER.
The tour is scheduled to conclude with an encore concert at Inspire Arena in Incheon from November 27 to 29, 2026.
This places the new EP between the group’s ongoing global activities and the final concerts of their yearlong tour.
What’s Next for NMIXX?
NMIXX’s comeback rollout will continue with more concept content, music previews and the “Birthday Wish” music video teaser before the EP arrives.
The key dates currently announced are:
September 23 — Strange Muse motion poster
September 28 — Album trailer
September 29–30 — Concept photos
October 11 — A cappella highlight medley
October 15 — Original highlight medley
October 18 — “Birthday Wish” MV teaser

The EP and title track are scheduled to arrive on October 19 at 6 PM KST.
